Tweak

[edit]

I tweaked the template to link to Wikipedia:List of Wikipedians by number of DYKs rather than to the main DYK page. It seems to me that users who are so pedantic as to put this on their user page (like me) are also in it for, well, what shall we call it--"look what I've done" maybe? rather than "here's the main DYK page". DYK list

[edit]

This template doesn't seem to have the link functionality the documentation describes, as the template doesn't contain a red link. I'd really like to see this work if someone wiser than me can tweak the code. Chris Troutman (talk) 06:07, 19 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind. I fixed it myself using {{User Good Articles3}} as an example. Chris Troutman (talk) 16:09, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Malfunction

[edit]

@Chris troutman: The template has malfunction after this edit. The usage {{User DYK|number of articles}} gives red link. It shouldn't be be there. Earlier version is better. --AntanO 03:47, 25 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Since I use a section on my main page to list my creations rather than a DYK subpage I don't appreciate the forced change to linking either. As such, I've mirrored the earlier version to {{User DYK2}} if you're interested in using it. VernoWhitney (talk) 17:24, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@VernoWhitney, I've updated {{User DYK}} to add support for page sections, as well as maintain existing functionality. Do let me know if it you see any problems with this. —Caorongjin 💬 11:18, 5 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
