Change favourite to favorite[edit]

I think that we should change the spelling of favourite to the American spellin. Any objections?--walkingencyclopedia 16:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't really care enough to object, but why should we prefer American spelling? - Rainwarrior 17:04, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good point—maybe we should create two different versions. That way, both the British and the Americans would be happy.--walkingencyclopedia 17:34, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't really think two of them is necessary. I just don't think either should be preferred. The policy on articles is to make edits in the same dialect as the original article. In this case, the single edit changes the entire dialect, I suppose, so it doesn't really matter. My point is that making an edit like this doesn't really benefit anybody. (It doesn't really harm anybody either though, except by using up a little bit of editing bandwidth.) - Rainwarrior 19:02, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
