"This user might or might not have an academic degree, and considers the distinction irrelevant on Wikipedia." - There is some irony here on this protestation of the irrelevance on Wikipedia of having an academic degree, since this userbox invariably accompanies userboxes professing one's interest and or affiliation with a lot of things like religious affiliation, cat ownership, etc. that have arguably even less relevance on Wikipedia than ones' academic credentials. Therefore, this userbox always comes off as a reactionary oversensitivity about ones' lack of education - methinks the lady doth protest too much. 198.0.82.2 (talk) 14:41, 7 September 2016 (UTC)
