Image removal[edit]

The problem with this specific image is that there's no copyright category that exactly fits it. Technically it's not really a fair use image, but distributed under Vim's license, which is only "GPL compatible". Other than that, I don't see why the image shouldn't be used, especially since other babel boxes use images. -- Heptite (T) (C) (@) 21:46, 26 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Then should the image not have the licence under it? Or link the licence? Saying it's GPL compatible means nothing, saying it's under the FreeBSD Documentation Licence and linking it is fine, same with saying it's under the GNU Free Documentation Licence, but not having it there means it's not being marked right. That's the problem, technically it's none of these—Vim has its own license that is written to be compatible with the GPL. The text can be found by doing ":help license" within Vim (you can see a copy here). The Open Publication License applies to the Vim documentation, but I don't think that includes the logo, strictly speaking. -- Heptite (T) (C) (@) 11:27, 28 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
