Same as other county templates?[edit]

I see no reason this template should lose the information it contains solely to be like those of other counties in Pennsylvania that do not have the same type and amount of history that Venango County has. Do not change this again without discussing it here. --Chris Griswold () 21:47, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Since you changed the template without discussing it, I will do the same. I already addressed the concern you have about losing information, I said I would incorporate it in the body of the article and have already started to do so. If you have a new issue you should have discussed that new issue before changing it on your own without discussion.Tstrobaugh 21:55, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Tstrobaugh, there should be consistency across the navigation templates for all of Pennsylvania's counties and this template should kept in its original form. VerruckteDan 22:10, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See? Now that's the type of argument I can agree with. --Chris Griswold () 23:13, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody objected to the changes I made. I objected to your changes; that is the only difference. I'm not clear on what you mean by a new issue; my issue was that you have removed information from this template, and I disagreed with it. I didn't feel that adding the info to the article was a reasonable replacement. That's all.--Chris Griswold () 23:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, there's one more difference. My changes took place one by one, over the course of a month or so. Yours was a complete revert in one edit. If anyone should mention their intentions, it should be the person who makes one large, sweeping change like that. --Chris Griswold () 23:15, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I see you took a lot of time building a template for an area you are familiar with. If I had known you had attachment to the "odd man out" template I would have broached the subject with you. My last 7-800 edits have been standardizing places in Pennsylvania, check it out. I could not foresee any objections to my edits as they are all in good faith and accurate and standard. You yourself have not raised any objections other than the unstated, that you were attached to the template. If I had gotten to Venango earlier I would have objected to YOUR deviation from the norm and "sweeping change" of 8-23-2006 [[1]], I don't see you discussing that change with anyone, that is what you are accusing me of. I just went back to the previous, standard version, it is YOU who made a "sweeping change".Tstrobaugh 23:27, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't need to explain it. I was bold, and I added to the template gradually over months, and nobody raised an objection during the course of five months. You made large changes and I questioned it. That's the difference. Learn it and stop being self-righteous. And don't assume you understand my "unspoken reasons" for wanting this template to actually be a decent navbox that represents the county, rather than just a mechanical list of townships. --Chris Griswold () 21:32, 7 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
