Major Edit[edit]

I took it upon myself to undertake a major revision of the list of regional roads on this template. There is major confusion with regards to the roads running east-west and the roads running north-south. For instance, Waterloo Regional Road 4, despite running east-west, was stated as running north-south in the previous version of this template, presumably because Ottawa Street is labeled north-south in Kitchener. This being said, I think we have to remember that regional roads extend beyond the boundaries of the City of Kitchener, and that just because Ottawa Street, for instance, is labeled north-south in Kitchener, that doesn't mean that Waterloo Regional Road 4 runs north-south as well. Hence, I have been bold and started a revamp of the list, with the regional roads being classified under the directions they run as seen on a map, and not as they are labeled as a city street in K-W or elsewhere. Regional roads that change directions over the course of their route (e.g., a north-south road that curves and turns into an east-west road) will be classified under the direction they run in for most of their route. If anybody wishes to discuss what I've done, just contact me on my talk page. Thanks. Gujuguy (talk) 15:17, 2 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
