Can I suggest that the image used for this template be Image:Blue flag waving.svg, in-line with the Socialism and Liberalism WikiProjects? This would also avoid bias towards the Anglosphere. Zangar (talk) 23:35, 19 February 2011 (UTC)

What is the significance of the blue flag? Lionel (talk) 03:43, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
The flag has generally been used behind the scenes within wikipedia to symbolise political movements/organisation (see the above wikilinked examples). Blue has generally been used internationally as the colour of parties with a Conservative ideology (I know the US is an exception), although I'm using the two biggest international groupings as the main examples for this - the IDU and the EPP. In terms of colour, I know this hasn't been verified with sources but as it's for a "behind the scenes" template I feel we can use this generalisation (and it keeps things nice and consistent). Hope that helps :) Cheers, Zangar (talk) 23:19, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
The blue flag... very interesting! The Soc & Lib projects crashed and burned, so let's chart a new course. I think Burke is infinitely more interesting than the blue flag, with all due deference to multiculturism. Lionel (talk) 23:51, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
No problem, it was only my desire for consistency guiding this opinion, I'm not even a member of this project. Burke certainly makes people find out what he has to do with the political theory. Cheers Zangar (talk) 22:56, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
