Alpha[edit]

@Celestinesucess: For each region, arrange the entries in alphabetical order so it's easier to find/follow. -Masssly (talk) 11:19, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Masssly: okay sure will correct that, but will be sorting using their first names.Celestinesucess (talk) 12:05, 29 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Non existing Wikidata entries[edit]

I saw that the Wikidata entries for the Western Region are redlinked. -Masssly (talk) 17:50, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Masssly: They are redlinked because, the contestants just created them and they ommitted "Wikidata:" in the wiki markup when they add it to the list. I have corrected them all.Celestinesucess (talk) 13:10, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata qualifiers[edit]

I added "Educated At" qualifiers, and "Religion" for Cecilia Dapaah. Please ensure that the Wikidata Jury is checking for those as well. -Masssly (talk) 10:14, 3 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Well noted as well.Celestinesucess (talk) 14:45, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Spreadsheet[edit]

@Celestinesucess: You could share this link with the contest participants instead of the spreadsheet. I've added the linked under Resources. -Masssly (talk) 14:21, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Masssly, well noted. Thank you.Celestinesucess (talk) 14:46, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ListeriaBot[edit]

@Jury: This list is autogenerated from what's currently being entered on WD by the participants so far. You could also use it to verify what's missing at a glance. -Masssly (talk) 14:29, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Okay great, thank you Masssly. Kinvidia and Shahadusadik I hope you have seen this.Celestinesucess (talk) 14:46, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mistakes by Wikidata entries approved by jury[edit]

@Celestinesucess: I'm not sure who's marking the Wikidata entries, but they should check carefully before approving. Electoral district for Dominic Azimbe Azumah (Q84322834) is wrong. -Masssly (talk) 10:37, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Masssly thank you for prompting us. @Shahadusadik: please kindly rectify this mistake.Celestinesucess (talk) 11:01, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you @Masssly: for the alert. I have rectified the mistake. Do ping me if you see any mistake but I will carefully go through all the entries again.Shahadusadik (talk) 11:48, 6 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Doing a cursory check of the entries[edit]

  • @Jury: I notice many cells that are still empty but those MPs have been checked pink, awarded marks and marked as done. That is not good at all. The whole point is to rely on the * almost complete work * that has already been done here and use this to quickly check what is still missing.
  • Take E.g. Upper West Region
  1. Alhassan Dubie Halutie (Q97050729) - missing occupation (they're all politicians, so we're focusing on their primary occupations)
  2. Edward Salia (Q5345199) - missing occupation
  3. Haruna Bayirga (Q96901754) - The * educated at * duplicates could be fixed during the review
  4. John Duoghr Baloroo (Q96942676) - missing elected in, missing academic degree, missing academic major
  5. Joseph Yieleh Chireh (Q1708293) - item has many values in wrong statements that should be cleaned up during the review. Also, qualifiers in the 7thof4th statement seems to have been deleted.
  • Let's fix the Upper West Region and the other regions before declaring them as done. -Masssly (talk) 11:57, 12 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Masssly: Thank you so much for pointing us to these errors. We have reviewed all Wikidata entries and made the necessary corrections. Celestinesucess (talk) 22:52, 14 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This table by Emmanuel has all the information to fill the remaining empty cells as shown in the ListeriaBot generated list. Let's finish it before moving on to the next round. -Masssly (talk) 18:58, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Masssly: Thanks for the pointers. I have updated the missing wikidata entries. Please note, The table still has some empty cells. Their education, for instance, some of them have just Middle School Leaver or Just Certificate so its difficult to get educated at, academic degree and academic major if they are not already available online. Others have available on WD with incomplete information on Wikidata. Second, Some of the schools are not on Wikidata so I created the ones that I know of. As for the missing entries for constituencies, I have updated them on Wikidata but it still doesn't reflect on the auto-generated table. I also realised People's National Congress was used instead of People's National Convention (PNC).Shahadusadik (talk) 17:36, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I could take a look but it's hard to do so if you don't provide specifics about what to actually troubleshoot. i.e. "some", "others", "the ones".-Masssly (talk) 11:05, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Shahadusadik for doing another run through. Masssly I also did a run through and Sadik is right concerning the ListeriaBot generated list. There seem to be a problem with it. For instance, the Wikidata entry for Alban Bagbin, (Wikidata:Q2637206),from the ListeriaBot indicates the item is missing the constituency and region but when I checked the item all those details have been added. So some items have all the required statements added, but they are not reflecting in the ListeriaBot table. Secondly, some Wikidata item's "educated at" statement was not added because, the schools do not have articles on Wikipedia or Wikidata. Celestinesucess (talk) 06:56, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that specific Wikidata:Q2637206 pointer.
  • Alban Bagbin, (Q2637206) - I pointed this to Shahadusadik already on July 21st. "I think it's because Nadowli West has a P:131 value that is also a district. Like all constituencies, Nadowli West need to have a P:131 value that is a Region" . Though I simply could, I'm not fixing these things myself because I want to everyone to understand the issue and be able to deal with them in the future.
  • If you mention another specific challenge/problem then I can help you troubleshoot it. -Masssly (talk) 11:23, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Masssly! I've been able to figure out the issues with the regions but still see empty cells for parties of two People's National Convention (PNC) MPs, Haruna Bayirga (Q96901754) and Alhassan Azong (Q4724464). Kindly assist. I think all look resolved now accept educated at, academic degree and academic major of some few MPs. I am not sure I can do much about them even though I added P:512 and P:812 to some without P:69. Shahadusadik (talk) 17:36, 24 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • MPs, Haruna Bayirga (Q96901754) and Alhassan Azong (Q4724464) - I think that People's National Convention (Q2069628) is missing the "Also known as" term which usually captures the abbreviation of the entity, in our case a political party.
Thank you . I have added "Also known as" to People's National Convention (PNC).
  • For those MP's without educated at but you could add academic degree and academic major, can you provide an example? I'm curious to see how that worked. -Masssly (talk) 10:32, 25 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Example, Elizabeth Agyemang (Q55314927) and Kojo Adu Asare (Q96876095). Shahadusadik (talk) 15:16, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
So for such MP's, because we do not know their P69, please use the "unknown value". That way we can arrange their P69 qualifiers just like we do for MP's that do have them. As an example, I have edited Elizabeth Agyemang (Q55314927) so try Kojo Adu Asare (Q96876095). -Masssly (talk) 15:54, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
