Usage instructions

[edit]

This template is the project banner for WikiProject Macau, and is added to the talk pages of articles within the Project's scope.

Quality scale

[edit]

The first table below gives a brief, one-sentence description of possible quality scale values. Before assigning any article to a class, please take a few moments and read the full description of the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team's assessment system.

[Also see the Other Template Parameters, in the second table below.]

Each article may also be assigned to a particular class, intended as a point-in-time assessment of its overall "quality" - relative to the criteria given in the quality scale which is detailed below. Articles for which a valid class has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unassessed Macau articles.

The following values may be used for the class parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Macau articles by quality)
Value Meaning Category
class=FA Articles which are currently Featured status articles FA-Class Macau articles
class=A A-class articles; A-Class Macau articles
class=GA Articles with a current Good article status GA-Class Macau articles
class=B B-class articles; B-Class Macau articles
class=Start Start-class articles; Start-Class Macau articles
class=Stub Stub-class articles; Stub-Class Macau articles
class=NA Not applicable; ie for miscellaneous pages such as disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment Non-article Macau pages

Importance scale

[edit]

Each article may also be assigned a particular importance; for Macau, we make a very simple use of this. Articles for which a valid importance has not yet been provided are listed by default in Category:Unknown-importance Macau articles.

The following values may be used for the importance parameter (they should be entered exactly as given):

Class parameter values (Category:Macau articles by importance)
Value Meaning Category
class=Top Major, broad articles Top-importance Macau articles
class=High All actual Macau and similar entities High-importance Macau articles
class=Mid Other articles that are likely to be of general interest Mid-importance Macau articles
class=Low Articles that are not likely to be of general interest; also miscellaneous pages such as disambiguation pages, which do not require an assessment Low-importance Macau articles
