Thardelly Pereira Lima (born August 15, 1982) is a Brazilian actor who became known for his performance in the film Bacurau.[1]

Biography[edit]

He began acting in an amateur theatre in 1999 in his hometown, Cajazeiras. In 2002 he began acting in the performing arts in the city of João Pessoa when he enroled for a degree in Artistic Education at the Federal University of Paraíba.

In the capital of Paraíba, he was part of theatre groups such as "Graxa", "Osfodiário" and "Piollin" where he staged several shows such as "Alegria de Náufragos"[2] and "Flor de Macambira".[3]

In 2018, he completed his master's degree in Performing Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte.[4]

In 2019, he became nationally known for playing Mayor Tony Júnior in the award-winning film Bacurau, directed by Kleber Mendonça Filho. The film won the jury prize at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival.[5]

On television, Thardelly played the character Edvaldo in the soap opera Amor de Mãe,[6] on TV Globo. In 2020 and in 2021 he was cast as the driver Odailson in the soap opera Quanto Mais Vida Melhor![7] of the same broadcaster.

He is currently on stage in the soap opera Mar do Sertão, where he plays the character Vespertino.[8]
