The Gate of the Sea is a 1948 Australian radio play by Coral Lansbury.[2]

A verse drama, it was the first play from Lansbury who was just seventeen when she wrote it. The play helped launch her writing career.[3]

Brisbane's Sunday Mail said it had "a strong cast, and some startling revelations anent virtue, and the 'charm' of some who boast a lack of it."[4]

The ABC performed the play again in 1953.[5]
