In an alternate Japan, there exist people whose ancestors were spirits. Fuyutsuki, a human woman notable for her cool, mellow and quiet personality, starts her first day at her new office job. During her route there, she encounters Himuro, a young man whose feet are frozen in ice. Himuro explains that he is descended from the Snow Woman spirit and possesses ice abilities, but his fear of starting a new job has frozen his feet, as his nervousness causes him to freeze things, even by accident. Fuyutsuki shares tea with him until the ice melts, meaning that Himuro must feel calmer and due to Fuyutsuki's kind gesture. Upon meeting up with her again at the same office, by coincidence, they realize that they have both been hired by the same company along with Saejima, a human, and Komori, a descendant of the Fox spirit. Later on, Fuyutsuki learns that Himuro loves flowers and cats, but he cannot go near them as his powers freeze flowers and scare cats away. The next day, Fuyutsuki gives Himuro straw mulch, which can protect plants from frost, and a pair of whiskers from her own pet cat, Nyamero. Himuro then has a moment of bliss from this, resulting in him falling in love with Fuyutsuki, as a brief gust of snow blows through the hallway, though Fuyutsuki seems oblivious to it. Himuro decides to do something kind for Fuyutsuki as a way of saying thanks for her kindness, so he spends a week looking for and finding a limited edition dessert for her. A while later, the company's chief later announces a trip to Okinawa to welcome the new employees. But for some reason, Himuro is reluctant to go, as he mentions that, "something bad will happen", if he does...

Fuyutsuki goes to talk with Himuro about why he seems stressed about the trip to Okinawa. He explains that he's worried that his excitement will cause a snow storm and ruin the trip for everyone. Fuyutsuki makes him a surf drum so can practise being at the beach without freezing it by mistake. Himuro trains until he can control his powers, but at the beach, he almost causes multiple snow storms anyway. This is due to everything that he finds cute about Fuyutsuki and while sightseeing with her, he accidentally makes it snow. Fuyutsuki learns that Himuro hates hot weather, as it can melt him. The next morning brings a heatwave and Himuro goes missing, as he has gone to find ice so he can avoid melting. Worried about Himuro's well-being, Fuyutsuki searches the area and finds him hiding in the shade, discovering that when he melts, he physically shrinks and he now resembles a child-sized version of himself. If he melts further, he will become a baby. Fuyutsuki runs off and buys an ice pop from the hotel to make him cold again. Fuyutsuki admits she finds his child form adorable and she strokes his hair, but he returns to adult size so fast that it flusters them both, though Fuyutsuki is confused by her own feelings. Later, while photographing fireworks that night, as a festival is occurring close by, it is revealed that Fuyutsuki had taken a photo of Himuro when he was child-sized, but she keeps this as a secret from him.

Upon returning to the office, Himuro learns that he might be transferred to a different department and become separated from Fuyutsuki, but he is relieved when he learns that he will be seated in the same office, directly beside Fuyutsuki like when they had first started their jobs at the company, along with Saejima and Komori. This causes Himuro to freeze the office repeatedly. Deciding to show gratitude for helping him in Okinawa, Himuro decides to ask Fuyutsuki out to dinner, while trying to deny himself of thinking that it's a date. At the restaurant later that night, Fuyutsuki suspects that Himuro had actually asked her on a date, but she's too nervous to ask him. Himuro is also nervous and since neither can think what to talk about, the date comes off as awkward and it abruptly ends when Himuro claims that he enjoyed the date, but also when he faints from the heat of his own blushing, as Fuyutsuki reveals that she had heard his comment about their night together truly being a date. The next day, Himuro overhears Fuyutsuki telling Komori that she likes Himuro, but she knows nothing personal about him for it to be romantic. He asks to exchange phone numbers with her, which surprises her, but she begins sending him pictures of her cat, Nyamero. It is revealed that Fuyutsuki now uses the photo of Himuro in his child form as her phone's background, but she is determined to hide this from him. The next day in the office, Himuro meets a man that he knows named Katori, who is also descended from a spirit.

Katori, a descendant of a Phoenix, is Himuro’s childhood friend and he has just been hired at the company as a salesman. Later, Fuyutsuki invites Himuro to the movies to see a cat themed children's film and he agrees, wondering if this is another date. They struggle to sleep that night, which is possibly due to their excitement. At the movies, unbeknownst to Himuro or Fuyutsuki, both Saejima and Katori are present, but they end up watching a different film. Fuyutsuki cries during a scene in the film and when Himuro gives her a tissue, she is curious of what happens when Himuro cries. The next day, both Himuro and Fuyutsuki have to work late and are alone in the office together. Meanwhile, Saejima and Komori both end up having dinner with Katori and his manager, Otonashi. Saejima reveals seeing Himuro and Fuyutsuki at the movies the previous day, causing speculation that they are dating secretly. Fearing Fuyutsuki is bored, Fuyutsuki suggests that they play a word game to pass the time. Fuyutsuki ends up having to stay longer, even after her work is finished for the day. Himuro asks Fuyutsuki if she would like to go out for a late dinner together with him, to which, she agrees. This causes Himuro to conjure another snowstorm in the office. Meanwhile, their friends wonder exactly what happened while they were working late. Later on, Himuro is shopping when he discovers a "George The Kitten" plate set, based on the films that he and Fuyutsuki watched, being given away as a prize.
5 | "The Fox Girl & The Phoenix Boy" Transliteration: "Yōko Joshi to Fushichō Danshi" (Japanese: 妖狐女子と不死鳥男子) | Atsuko Tonomizu | Masahiro Takata | Yasuyuki Ōishi | February 1, 2023
Himuro has entered a competition to win the two collectible "George The Kitten" plates. Komori finds it inconvenient that her ears and tail sometimes pop out unannounced. Saejima suggests that she leave them visible, revealing that he thinks that they are cute, indicating his possible feelings for Komori. Fuyutsuki enters the same contest as Himuro, as she is a fan of "George The Kitten". Komori begins collecting small prizes from sweet treat boxes, but someone soon begins leaving extras for her on her desk. She later discovers that it was Saejima, who then indirectly confesses his love to her, causing her to develop a crush on him as well. Himuro soon realizes that he won’t collect enough points to win the plates before the deadline, so Fuyutsuki gives him her points too and they take one plate each when they arrive in the mail at Himuro's house. Katori fears that he has upset Otonashi somehow. Fuyutsuki is certain that it's because he keeps making childish love confessions to her constantly. Katori is relieved when it turns out that Otonashi is not angry with him, but he reveals to Himuro that he really does love Otonashi. Fuyutsuki suggests that he find a more serious way to confess, so Katori practices a serious confession on Fuyutsuki, which somehow makes Himuro jealously freeze his legs in ice. Fuyutsuki then wonders what it might have been like to be childhood friends with Himuro, as well as going to school and college with him, which results in him freezing the office again. Later, their boss and the section chief, a descendant of The Buddha, unexpectedly gives Himuro two tickets to a cat themed amusement park known as "Nekomi-Land".
6 | "Lost in The Amusement Park" Transliteration: "Rosuto In Yuenchi" (Japanese: ロスト・イン・遊園地) | Takashi Asami | Tomoko Konparu | Fumikazu Satō | February 8, 2023
Fuyutsuki agrees to attend the "Nekomi-Land" theme park with Himuro, who tries to plan the visit in advance and is helped by Komori, a frequent visitor to the park. Fuytsuki, oblivious to it being another date with Himuro, also invites Komori, who panics and invites Saijima, as she fears becoming a third wheel. Himuro enters an icy depression as his date has now become a double date. At the park, Fuyutsuki and Himuro help a lost child find her parents, so Komori and Saejima go on ahead without them to see the attractions, hoping Fuyutsuki and Himuro will have a real date once they're alone together. However, Komori and Saejima quickly realize that this leaves them alone on their own awkward date, too. Fuyutsuki and Himuro spend the whole afternoon together, including dinner. They later end up at a souvenir shop, where Fuyutsuki suggests buying matching coffee mugs to go with their plates from the contest and Himuro is so emotional from the whole day that he almost confesses his love to Fuyutsuki, only for Komori and Saejima to suddenly arrive to them. After watching a parade and fireworks, everyone returns home on the train, as Himuro falls asleep with Fuyutsuki watching him. At their homes, Fuyutsuki and Himuro both feel happy that they now have two matching sets together. Later, Himuro discovers a flyer with a grand prize of a billion yen.
7 | "Excitement! The Halloween Costume Contest" Transliteration: "Dokitto! Harōwin Kosupure Taikai" (Japanese: ドキッと!ハロウィンコスプレ大会) | Chika Nenbe | Masahiro Yokotani | Yōichi Ueda | February 15, 2023
Fuyutsuki is interested in a Halloween themed iced coffee, so Himuro buys four of them so Fuyutsuki can try it with Saejima and Komori, but back at the office, he finds that Fuyutsuki had also bought four of the exact same drink, so Himuro could try it with her and the others. They find this funny and they share the extras with Katori, Otonashi and the company's president, who is a descendant of the Nurarihyon spirit. She decides to host a Halloween party with a 100,000 yen prize for the best group costume. It is decided that everyone will dress as pumpkins, though Fuyutsuki is disappointed to find that the pumpkin costumes are all sold out. While looking for other costumes, Fuyutsuki finds high class vampire costumes and Himuro nearly freezes the shop. On the night of the company's Halloween party, Fuyutsuki is kept late by her client's meeting. Katori forgets the costumes that he had personally made for himself and Otonashi, so the group improvises with paper to make them both into Egyptian mummies. Upon arriving to the party, Fuyutsuki pranks Himuro with fake blood, resulting in him freezing himself solid. Seeing Himuro dressed up, Fuyutsuki is flustered by how good that he looks and the two remain feeling awkward during the party. Katori and Otonashi win the big prize, but they share it with Fuyutsuki and the group on dinner at an expensive restaurant. Himuro ends up walking Fuyutsuki home still in their costumes, as Fuyutsuki decides that she isn't ready for the holiday to be over yet. Later on, Himuro purchases a pair of snowflake earrings.

With Christmas approaching, Himuro buys snowflake earrings for Fuyutsuki as a gift. Komori wins a Christmas ski trip and she invites Saejima, Himuro and Fuyutsuki to go with her. Himuro is thrilled to be asked to teach Fuyutsuki to ski, until he realizes that he doesn’t actually know how to teach, as for him, skiing is an innate skill he knew without having to learn, due to being a descendant. Komori teaches Fuyutsuki instead, which depresses Himuro. Reaching the ski lodge, Himuro reveals that he has a little sister, Yukimin, a young model and a minor internet celebrity who, by coincidence, works part-time at the same lodge where the group just so happens to be. Fuyutsuki learns that the descendants of the snow woman have notoriously short tempers with each other, as Himuro and Yukimin argue constantly, but Yukimin says that she is happy that her big brother is fitting in at work and has made good friends. Completely charmed by Fuyutsuki, Yukimin declares that she is in love with her, causing an instant jealousy-fueled blizzard from Himuro. After dinner that evening, Himuro gives Fuyutsuki a warm kitten blanket, revealing that he had changed his mind about the earrings, afraid that they were too personal to be a gift for co-workers. Returning home after the trip, Fuyutsuki is happy that she saw how Himuro interact with his family. Himuro hopes to take Fuyutsuki skiing again next year and he thanks a confused Yukimin for her help.
9 | "Lost Again And A First Shrine Visit" Transliteration: "Rosuto Agein In Hatsumōde" (Japanese: ロスト・アゲイン・イン・初詣) | Tsurumi Mukōyama Kentarō Mizuno | Masahiro Yokotani | Atsuko Tonomizu | March 1, 2023
With Christmas over, the President of the company announces a long holiday for everyone. Fuyutsuki notices that Himuro has cold hands and so, she holds his hand to warm him up. Everyone joins a video call to celebrate the new year together, though Fuyutsuki is embarrassed when everyone sees that she still wears her high school track pants as her pajamas. After arranging to visit a shrine on New Year's Day together, Komori, Saejima, Kotori and Otonashi leave the call until only Himuro and Fuyutsuki are left and they watch the midnight countdown together to welcome the new year. Himuro has an ominous dream that the next year will be full of bad luck. Komori does not attend the shrine, due to her visiting her parents. Fuyutsuki arrives in a kimono, followed quickly by Himuro’s joyful blizzard. Everyone is briefly separated. Saejima is alone, Katori and Otonashi walk to the food stalls together and both Fuyutsuki and Himuro to the shrine, where they accidentally hold hands while trying not to be separated. Komori appears as a Shrine Maiden, revealing that her parents own the shrine. She is disappointed that she can’t be with everyone, but she cheers up when Saejima buys her a protective charm. While praying, Himuro wishes to still be with Fuyutsuki throughout the next year. Fuyutsuki’s wish is not revealed. Later, Himuro overhears Fuyutsuki talking with Otonashi about how her birthday is coming up in February, as well as learning of an approaching storm, thanks to reading another fortune.
10 | "Sleepover in the Storm!" Transliteration: "Arashi no Otomarikai!" (Japanese: 嵐のお泊り会!!) | Masahiro Takata | Masahiro Takata | Toshizō Kida | March 8, 2023
As Fuyutsuki’s birthday is soon, Himuro feels determined to give her the snowflake earrings that he didn’t give her for Christmas. A severe rainstorm cancels the trains, so the ladies all decide to share a hotel room together while the guys sleep at Katori’s apartment nearby, as during the group's video call on New Year's Eve, he told everyone that he had moved closer to the office. Komori and Otonashi tease each other over Saejima and Katori's interest in them, causing Fuyutsuki to confess that she has never been in love before. This amuses Otonashi and Komori, as it is obvious she is in love with Himuro, but she can't admit it even to herself. At Katori’s apartment, a similar situation amuses Katori and Saejima as Himuro is obviously in love with Fuyutsuki. The next day, Himuro overhears that Fuyutsuki has birthday plans with her parents and he decides to give her the earrings at work before she leaves, but he is constantly thwarted by interruptions. During their walk home that night at Himuro's request, he accidentally freezes the trees into a pretty winter image, which stuns Fuyutsuki. Himuro finally gives her the earrings and she puts them on. She loves them so much she wears them to her dinner with her parents and she promises to get something just as special for Himuro’s birthday. Himuro is later seen alone practicing his love confession to Fuyutsuki, as he asks, seemingly to himself, if someone wants to live with him.
11 | "Catch Me & Touch Me" Transliteration: "Kyatchi Mī ando Tatchi Mī" (Japanese: キャッチミー&タッチミー) | Atsuko Tonomizu | Tomoko Konparu | Atsuko Tonomizu | March 15, 2023
Komori overhears that Himuro is moving someone into his apartment, but is confused that it isn’t Fuyutsuki. Himuro explains that he plans to rescue a stray cat near his apartment and adopt it as his pet. Fuyutsuki volunteers to help find it and she shows him a trick to befriending cats. Unfortunately, Fuyutsuki spots a poster revealing that the cat is actually a missing pet, so they return him to his owner, who thanks them. Himuro is so depressed that he couldn't keep the cat, so Fuyutsuki invites him to her apartment over the weekend, so he can spend time with her cat, Nyamero. This results in Himuro cheering up instantly. When he arrives to her apartment the next day, Himuro steps inside of Fuyutsuki’s apartment and creates a flurry of ultra fine snowflakes called "diamond dust", which is a sign that Himuro is blissfully happy. After an awkward moment where they accidentally touch hands, the moment is ruined when Yukimin arrives at the apartment, revealing that she and Fuyutsuki are now good friends and she visits her apartment regularly. Realizing that she is interrupting her brother's visit, Yukimin decides to leave, but she can't find an excuse that doesn’t seem rude and she ends up staying for coffee. Himuro is disappointed, but he recovers when Fuyutsuki asks to visit their home next time. When Himuro returns to the office, Komori and Saejima ask to know how his visit went with Fuyutsuki, which embarrasses him, but when Fuyutsuki enters, she notices her co-workers talking and she finds it amusing. Later, Himuro and Fuyutsuki meet at the train station, both with suitcases.
12 | "Their Night Together & The Morning Spring Came" Transliteration: "Futarikiri no Yoru to Haru ga Kita Asa" (Japanese: ふたりきりの夜と春が来た朝) | Kentarō Mizuno | Tomoko Konparu | Toshizō Kida | March 22, 2023
It turns out that both Himuro and Fuyutsuki have been sent on a business trip together, including a restaurant dinner and a hotel room, to Himuro’s glee. After their grueling work schedule is over, Himuro sneezes and he instantly melts back into his child form again. Fuyutsuki confirms that he has a bad fever from overworking, so she cancels their dinner, and she insists on look after him. They have an awkward moment when Himuro accidentally slips and falls on top of Fuyutsuki on the bed, but the moment passes when their boss telephones them. Fuyutsuki completes the paperwork while Himuro sleeps and he wakes up in his adult size again. Upon seeing Fuyutsuki asleep on the sofa, Himuro feels guilty for spoiling their trip and he works until the morning, making himself very sleep deprived, as Fuyutsuki notices the dark bags under Himuro's eyes. Returning back home, the two pass by the street where they had first met and they realize that they have known each other for a whole year. Reminiscing on the previous episodes, they admit that their lives are a lot happier since they met each other. After returning to the office, they attend a cherry blossom viewing party with their friends, who welcome them home. |
