-DT Television stations

[edit]

A lot of people have the misconception that all U.S. television stations have the appendix of -TV for their analog transmission and -DT for their digital transmission. This is not the case. A fair number of stations do have the call sign of W/Kxxx-TV; however, there are very few stations that have the FCC call sign of W/Kxxx-DT. I am going to try and keep a list here of the examples I find. In parentheses are other article names that might be related to this station.

  1. KCGE-DT (KCGE KCGE-TV)

And just to prove a point, here are all of the stations assigned call letters with -DR (digital repeater) at the end.

  • None

And a section for digital only stations that do NOT have -DT or -DR at the end of their callsigns:

  1. KVMD (KVMD-TV KVMD-DT) - Looks like they are applying for an analog station license @ 53. (Thanks to DHowell)
  2. WNVT (WNVT-TV WNVT-DT) - (Thanks for the heads-up Boothy443)
