Hi!

My name is Christian Sierra. I am an electronic engineering, and wikipedia enthusiast.

I was born and raised in Cartagena —one of the most beautiful resorts in Colombia and Latin America—.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a Cybernetic Engineer: I wanted to create new devices and gadgets to improve the quality of life of people on Earth. The idea was to create gadgets by copying already existing phenomena in nature.

Back in the days I remember I didn't have an Internet connection at home, so I used to go to an Internet café, bring a USB stick, download a couple of books (in PDF format), and then read them later on my computer.

Today I work as a scientist at the laboratory of wireless technologies at the Russian Academy of sciences. We are working on a chaos-based telecommunication system that use chaotic pulses as carriers.

I love playing the guitar and the violin, teaching mathematics, learning new languages, travel all around the world, preparing Latin American food, among many others.

My fields of expertise are mathematics, chaos theory, electronics, Russian and German as foreign languages, programming languages, and IT.

Should you have any questions, feel free to drop by at any moment. In fact, you know what, if you already read this, why don't you send me a message? Anything would do the trick! How about "Hi Chris, I just read your profile information and found it interesting, ..."
