Brar (براڑ) Tribe:
The Brar (براڑ) Tribe, also known as براڑ in Punjabi, is an ancient ethnic group primarily located in the Punjab region of India. The Brar (براڑ) Tribe traces its lineage back to the Bhati Rajput dynasty and their ancestor, Rawal Jaisal. The tribe takes pride in its rich history and cultural heritage.
Origins: The Brar (براڑ) Tribe's roots can be traced to Rawal Jaisal, who lived during the 12th century. Rawal Jaisal was a Bhati Rajput ruler of Jaisalmer and is credited with founding the city of Jaisalmer and establishing the Jaisalmer state. He was the sixth descendant of Rawal Deoraj Bhati and was born to Rawal Dusaj of Deoraj. Jaisal's journey as a ruler began when his younger half-brother, Vijayraj Lanjha, was appointed his father's successor instead of him. Consequently, Jaisal was driven out of his kingdom.
Founding of Jaisalmer: While searching for a more secure location for a new capital, Rawal Jaisal encountered a sage named Eesul on the Trikuta hill. Eesul informed Jaisal that, according to ancient mythology, Krishna and Bhima had visited this location for a ceremony. During their visit, Krishna had prophesied that a descendant of his Yaduvanshi clan would establish a kingdom here. Eesul also revealed a spring created by Krishna and a prophecy carved into a rock. Encouraged by this meeting, Jaisal moved his capital to this location and established it in 1156 CE as a mud fort. He named it Jaisalmer, in honor of himself.
Legacy: Rawal Jaisal's descendants played significant roles in the historical and cultural development of the region. Some of his descendants became rulers of princely states, including Kapurthala State, Nabha State, Patiala State, Jind State, and Faridkot State.
Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe (ٻرڙو):
The Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe (ٻرڙو) is an ethnic group primarily located in Sindh, Pakistan. Like the Brar (براڑ) Tribe, the Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe is also genetically linked to the Bhati Rajput lineage and can trace its ancestry back to Raja Jaisal Rai Bhati of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, India.
Origins: The Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe's historical roots are deeply intertwined with the Bhati dynasty. They share a common heritage with the Brar (براڑ) Tribe, both descending from the same ancestor, Raja Jaisal Rai Bhati. Over time, a branch of the Bhati dynasty migrated to Sindh, where they became known as the Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe.
Settlement in Sindh: The Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribe, upon migrating to Sindh, established themselves in the region. They contributed to the cultural and historical tapestry of Sindh, preserving their unique customs and social structures.

The Sidhu Tribe (ਸਿੱਧੂ) is a significant Punjabi Jat clan predominantly found in the Punjab region, spanning India and Pakistan. The Sidhu Tribe is known for its diverse religious affiliations, including Sikhism, Hinduism, and Islam.
Origins:
The Sidhu Tribe traces its origin to a Bhatti Rajput progenitor named Sidhu Rao, who married a woman from the Gill Jat background. This union gave rise to the Sidhu Jats, and their descendants form the Sidhu Tribe. The Sidhu-Brar (براڑ) clan, specifically, is connected to the Bhati Rajputs through Rawal Jaisal.
Sikh Period:
During the medieval period, the Sidhu clan held influence in the Ferozepur area. Chaudhary Phul, a prominent figure from the Sidhu-Brar (براڑ) clan, established the Phulkian Misl, one of the misls (confederacies) of the Sikh Confederacy. His descendants, the Phulkian Maharajas, went on to become the rulers of princely states such as Faridkot, Jind, Nabha, Malaudh, and Patiala.
The Sidhu Tribe, like the Brar (براڑ) and Buriro (ٻرڙو) Tribes, carries a significant historical legacy and continues to contribute to the cultural diversity of the Punjab region.
