list of sources[edit]

- http://www.scmp.com/news/hong-kong/health-environment/article/1858013/hong-kongs-english-schools-foundation-reports I know this is a high quality source because it is from the South China Morning Post, a leading newspaper source in Hong Kong. This source supplies factual information on the controversies of lead in water in ESF schools, which I intend on including in a new "controversies" subheading for the article. This source's point of view is that of a Hong Kong newspaper company that has been associated with "pro-Beijing" views. This will not affect my writing of the article as the news story does not involve the Chinese Communist Party and is a strictly local Hong Kong news story.

- http://www.ejinsight.com/20150922-esf-schools-to-raise-grade-1-tuition-fees-by-20-in-2016/ This is a good source because it is an online news site that is based in Hong Kong. This source supplies factual information about the increase of tuition in ESF schools and also the lead found in the water at some of the schools. The point of view is from a online news source that specialises in financial news. The story involves something that is financial - rise of tuition - and so the source could be extra valuable in this sense.

- http://www.thestandard.com.hk/news_detail.asp?we_cat=11&art_id=157195&sid=44511726&con_type=1&d_str=20150521&fc=7 This is a good source because it comes from a trusted local newspaper company. This source supplies factual information on the new chairman of ESF which I could use in the "history" section of the article. The source's point of view is one that is most aligned with the local Hong Kong views, which could make this source valuable.

-http://www.esf.edu.hk/news-apple-9Aug2013 and http://hk.apple.nextmedia.com/news/art/20130809/18371217 This is a good source because it is a well known Hong news agency and the source was translated and shared by the ESF website. This source provides factual information on the scores of ESF students in the IB exams in the past year. This source's point of view is that of a newspaper agency that is liberal and known for both its pro-democracy and anti-Beijing leanings which is funded by their profitable celebrity gossip magazines. This article also does not have much to do with the politics of Hong Kong and Beijing, so the reputable news source aspect of the source should suffice in ensuring the quality of the information.

-http://search.proquest.com/newsstand/docview/443930170/464436B409394BABPQ/1?accountid=9784 This source comes from M2 communications, which is an online news service. This source supplies factual information on the topic regarding a partnership between a technology company and the educational foundation. The point of view should be neutral and helpful for writing the wikipedia article.

- http://search.proquest.com/newsstand/docview/1400368502/464436B409394BABPQ/10?accountid=9784 This source comes from an official news release from the Hong Kong government, which should make it a good source. Factual information on the topic this source supplies is that of some of the history of government subsidies related to ESF and the future of this relationship. The point of view is from an official government standpoint, I will account for this when writing my article by stating that it is a view held by the HK government.

- http://search.proquest.com/newsstand/docview/319039669/464436B409394BABPQ/11?accountid=9784 This source comes from The Times in the UK which is a reputable news source. The source provides factual information on a historical aspect of my article - a clash between parents and the executives of the ESF organisation. The point of view is from a news source that comes from the former colonial power in the post hand-over Hong Kong times. The ESF schools served as schools for the British in the start, so a British news source should provide a good point of view to my article.

- http://www.esf.edu.hk/sites/esf/files/ESF_brochure_2015.pdf and http://www.esf.edu.hk/university_destinations These two sources from the ESF official site should be credible as they are the subject of the article. The brochure supplies information on many aspects of the organisation whereas the other article supplies information on where students end up after graduation, which I plan on including in my article. The point of view is from one that should favor itself, so I would account for this by stating that these are stated on their official website.

I have started to work on it in an offline pages document and will paste in onto here when it is more developed.
