• Name of article: Design studies
• Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate. = I have decided to evaluate this article because I'm interested in design. To be more specific I'm interested in graphic design. Therefore I wanted to read about design studies and see if there's connections or similarities.

Lead

• Is the Lead concise or is it overly detailed?

Lead evaluation

Yes, the lead does include an introductory sentence that clearly describes the article's topic. I believe the could have done a better job on describing the major sections of the article. The lead does not include information that is not present in the article. The lead isn't overly detailed however the description is a bit confusing.

Content

• Is the content up-to-date?
• Is there content that is missing or content that does not belong?

Tone and Balance

• Is the article neutral?
• Are there any claims that appear heavily biased toward a particular position?

The article is neutral. No there is no such claims. The article doesn't really persuade at all.

• Are the sources thorough - i.e. Do they reflect the available literature on the topic?

• Check a few links. Do they work?

Sources and references evaluation

No not all facts are backed up. The sources do reflect the available literature on the topic. however not all sites the links lead to are reliable. whole the sources are current it is unknown if the articles are unbiased. the links do work although there is one that seems to take you to a different page from what it states.

Organization

Guiding questions

• Is the article well-written - i.e. Is it concise, clear, and easy to read?
• Does the article have any grammatical or spelling errors?
• Is the article well-organized - i.e. broken down into sections that reflect the major points of the topic?

Organization evaluation

I believe the article is a bit confusing. It isn't easy to read at all. There are very few grammatical errors. the article should have more citations. It is well organized. some sections aren't needed though.

Images and Media

Guiding questions

• Does the article include images that enhance understanding of the topic?
• Are images well-captioned?
• Do all images adhere to Wikipedia's copyright regulations?
• Are the images laid out in a visually appealing way?

Images and media evaluation

The article doesn't not include images except for one in the beginning. however that image doesn't enhance understanding of the topic.

Checking the talk page

Guiding questions

• What kinds of conversations, if any, are going on behind the scenes about how to represent this topic?
• How is the article rated? Is it a part of any WikiProjects?
• How does the way Wikipedia discusses this topic differ from the way we've talked about it in class?

Talk page evaluation

There isn't much happening in the talk page. Some have discussed the citations of the article. how there should be more citations and how do they decide what should or shouldn't be in citations. it is a part of a few wikiprojects and in almost all it is rated as C.

Overall impressions

• What is the article's overall status?
• What are the article's strengths?
• How can the article be improved?
• How would you assess the article's completeness - i.e. Is the article well-developed? Is it underdeveloped or poorly developed?

Overall evaluation

some of the article strengths is that it mentions the different subjects in design studies. The article can be improved by simplifying the lead and deciding again what should be in citations. The overall status of this article is that it's okay but seems rather unimportant.the article is underdeveloped. It can definitely improve.
