Tu Yijia 涂议嘉 (born 8 November, 1997 in Chengdu, Sichuan, China) is a young Chinese singer and songwriter. She first appeared on Sing My Song (season 1) at the age of 16. The showed gained immense popularity across China and Yijia was remembered as the "16 year old genius" [1]. Her mentor on the show, Liu Huan, also known as the "Godfather of Chinese Music" [2], later became the producer of her first EP "我们是谁 Who We Are" [3] as well as her debut album "十七 Seventeen" [4]. In the 2015 CMA China Music Awards 全球華語音樂榜中榜, Yijia's debut album won "Channel[V]传媒推荐专辑 Media's Choice Album" [5], and in the 16th Chinese Music Media Awards [華語音樂傳媒大獎] Yijia was nominated as "最佳国语女新人 Best New Female Chinese Singer" [6]. In the same year, Yijia graduated the Sichuan Conservatory of Music high school at the age of 17 with a diploma in Composition and Music Theory.
