(b) HQ 9 Arty Bde Football championship 2018-19 was conducted wef 30 Jul to 02 Aug 2018 at the Regt loc. Unit wise standings were as follows:-

(a) Innovation Display. The unit participated in preliminary innovation display at 609 EME Bn on 29 Jul 2018. Where in ETC and VOIP phones integrated with WIMAX was put on display by the unit.

(b) Nine offrs attended video streaming lectures on China Sig and Cyber capability at HQ 9 Inf Div audi on 21 Jul 2018.

(c) Six JCOs and Eight ORs attended live video streaming lecture on 7th CPC entitlement at PSI on 19 Jul 2018.

546. Raising Day Celebrations. Regt celebrated its 53rd Raising days with full josh enthusiasm on 01 Jul 2018. Following events were carried out:-

(a) Spl Sainik Sammelan. Spl Sainik Sammelan was organized on the occasion of 53rd Raising day of the unit on 01 Jul 2018.

(b) Mandir Parade. CO and all offrs attended the Mandir Parade on the occasion of 53rd Raising day on 01 Jul 2018.

(c) Offr Mess Function. Offr Mess function was organized on 07 Jul 2018 on the occasion of 53rd Raising day of the Regt. Veteran offr including Col SS Sharma attended the function.

(d) JCO Mess Function. JCO Mess function was organized in Jul 2018. Veteran attended the function.

(e) Qtr Gd Procedure. CO visited the Qtr Gd on the occasion of 52rd Rising days of the unit Spl Qtr Gd procedure was practiced with full josh. AUG 2018 547. Ops. Nil.

(i) LNk (DMT) Desh Raj and Gnr (GNR) Mahendra Singh of the unit attended UEI course S/No 188 at AC CTC Panchmari wef 09 Apr 2018 to 11 Aug 2018.

(ii) Gnr (OpR) Bheem Singh of the unit attended (WTI-192 at Arty Centre, Hyd wef 18 Jun 2018 to 11 Aug 2018.

(b) CTBO. CTBO is being carried out on daily basis for duration of two hours wef 0800 hrs to 1000 hrs. Centralized classes on Ops of War, Tac, Battle drills & procedures and trade specific eqpt trg is emphasized upon.

(c) SA Firing. Str of 01-01-22 carried out SA fg on 24 Aug 2018 from 0600 hrs to 1400 hrs.

(d) LDM on Attk on DCB. Seven offrs of the regt attended LDM of Attk on DCB conducted by 32 Inf Bde at Sofipur trg A on 24 Aug 2018. Innovative drills to launch attk on DCB were also discussed.

(e) LDM on Range Classification. Three offrs and 12 x ORs of the unit attended LDM on Range Classification as per range course conducted by 228 Fd Regt at Sofipur Fg Rg on 02 Aug 2018.

(d) Capt NK Mishra along with two JCOs and 20 x ORs did waterman ship as part of SUTC Bty in 9 IDSR swimming pool.

(e) SA Firing. A str of 40 x ORs carried out SA fg on 13 Nov 2018.

565. Annual Adm Inspection. Anl Adm Insp for the trg yr 2017-18 was carried out wef 14 Nov to 16 Nov 2018. Sequence of events was as under:-

(a) Vis of the Cdr. Brig Anil Jathalia, Cdr 9 Arty Bde vis the unit on 16 Nov 2018. Cdr was satisfied with the unit Tartib and administration (b) SA Fg. A str of 06-02-25 carried out SA fg on 16 Nov 2018.

(c) Adm BPET. BPET was carried out as a part of Anl Adm Insp 05 x offr, 15 JCOs and 231 x ORs participated in the BPET.

(d) PPT. PPT was carried out as a part of Anl Adm Insp 00-08-15 participated in the same.

(e) Book Insp. Docu check was carried out by HQ 9 Arty Bde on 14 Nov to 15 Nov 2018.

(a) Col Samen Parida, CO, 78 Fd Regt attended 15 Inf Div HR conf wef 02 Dec 2018 to 09 Dec 2018.

(b) The unit took part in the HR conf organised by 15 Inf Div wef 02 Dec 2018 to 07 Dec 2018.

568. TRG

(a) CTO CTO is being conducted on daily basis for two hours from 0830 -1030 hrs.

(b) Young gunners/ young officers’ competition 02 x offrs an 10 x ORs participated in the competition held at 633 Sata Bty. The team performed extremely well Gnr Vinay of 782 Fd Bty name first in endurance run and Gnr (DMT) Ravi come third. Lt Omkar Ruikar of unit stood first amongst all young offrs of 9 Arty Bde.

(c) Command Post Competition Inter Unit Command Post /competition was held on 22 Dec 18 at 223 Fd Regt. Three command posts of the unit participated in the same.

(d) Lt Omkar Ruikar, one JCO and three ORs of the unit attended ATC of 22 RAJPUT as a OP/BC party wef 03 Dec 18 to 07 Dec 18 at VBS, Khass.

(e) Unit conducted the BPET for left over pers of Adm Insp on 08 Dec 2018.

(f) Inter sub unit line laying competition was conducted on 07 Dec 18. Positions were as follows: -

(i) 1st – 781 Fd Bty (ii) 2nd – HQ Fd Bty (iii) 3rd – 782 Fd Bty (iv) 4th – 783 Fd Bty

(h) 01 x Offr, 01 x JCO and 13 x ORs attended live mine trg held at Purkaz by 02 Engr Regt. (j) Ex Pine Sameeksha. A stn of one offr, one JCO and 05 x ORs attended the ex wef 20 Dec 18 to 28 Dec 18 at 06 Dogra loc.

(k) OP Sammelan. A str of 04 x Offrs, 13 x JCOs and 52 x ORs attended fine OP Sammmelan on 29 Dec 18 held at 02 Engr loc. Intergrated trg of all arms was emphasized during the Ex. JAN 2019

569. Ops

(a) A total of Five Offrs, two JCO’s and 10 x OR of the unit had participated in Ex Prahar conducted from 19 Jan 19 to 21 Jun 19 at 78 Fd Regt giving them a know-how on battle scenario.

(b) Commanding officer of the unit attended the HR conf held at Jalandhar from 07 Jan 19 to 12 Jan 19.

570. TRG

(a) CTO CTO Trg cycle was conducted on a daily basis from 03 Jan 19 for a duration of 02 hours from 0845 -1045 hrs.

(b) A str of 14 OR of the unit has participated in the line laying competition held at Dabathwa trg A on 16 Jan 19 eventually enhancing the skills of the troops.

(c) Bde level inter unit Gun drill competition was held on dt Jan 19 at 78 Fd Regt. Gun det of 783 Fd Bty stood first amongst all gun troops.

(d) A str of five Offrs, fifteens JCO’s and 111 x OR Carried an 20 Kms Ni Route March on 04 Jan 19.

(e) A BPET was conducted by 18 GARH RIF on 10 Jan 19 and a total of four Offrs and twelve JCO’s tool part in it.

(f) A str of two Offrs, 12 JCO’s and 105 OR Participated in the 20 Kms NI Route March as a part of the physical fitness week.

571. SPORTS Inter unit volleyball competition was conducted for the 9 Arty Bde from 28 Jan 19 – 30 Jan 19 and our team comprised of two Offrs and 10 X OR’s. 572. MISC (a) Lt Omkar Ruikar. One JCo and two OR of the unit had proceeded to Jalandhar for the deposition of the Cypher Courter from 22 Jan 19 to 24 Jan 2019.

(b) Annual inspection of arms of this unit was carried at from 28 Jan 19 to 29 Jan 19.

(c) Half yearly security check of the unit was carried out from 29 Jan 19 to 30 Jan 19.

(d) Newly Commissioned YO: Lt Divyansh Pratap Singh joined the Athattar family as a newly commissioned Offr on 14 Jan 19.

573. SPL SAINIK SAMMELAN

(a) A Spl Sainik Sammelan was conduted on 27 Jan 19. A str of five offrs, 10 JCO’s and 176 ORs along with families attended the same.

(b) Following were the points briefed by the commanding officer to OR and families: -

(i) Financial management. (ii) Cyber Security. (iii) Marital Discord. (iv) Road accidents and Preventive measures. (v) Stress management. (vi) Documentation.

FEB 2019

574. OPS

(a) One offr and five OR of the unit carried out the Op Area Reece of 7 Inf Div AOR and 15 Div AOR from 21 Feb 2019 to 26 Feb 2019.

(b) As a part of SUTC, one JCO and three OR of the unit performed the duties of OP/BC Party with 22 RAJPUT from 18 Feb 2019 to 20 Feb 2019.

575. TRG

(a) CTO CTO was being conducted on a daily basis form 0845 – 1045 hrs.

(b) A total of nine Offrs, 19 JCOs and 159 ORs of the unit participated in the mob prac carries out 15 Feb 19 to check the OP readiness of the unit.

(c) Eight Offrs, 20 x JCO’s and 164 OR of the unit took part in the mob carried out on 10 Feb 19.

(d) Two OR of the unit had attended the CBRN Cadre held at 2 ENGR Regt from 04 Feb 19 to 28 Feb 219 giving them a broad overview of what CBRN warfare is.

(e) Two OR of the unit had attended the CBRN cadre held at 2 ENGR Regt from 04 Feb 2019 to 09 Mar 19.

(f) Two OR of the unit attended the Anti-Malaria Cadre at 309 field Hospital from 04 Feb 2019 to 09 Feb 2019 to get a known hoe of malaria prevention method.

(a) A str of two offrs, nine JCO’s and 84 OR proceeded as the Adv Party to the new loc (Pharkian Gali) on 15th Feb 2019 to take the initial charge. MAR 2019

(e) Six offrs, eight JCOs and forty ORs of the unit celebrated Holi at Fazalpur Trg Area on 21 Mar 2019.

(f) Maj K Surender got posted in 78 Fd Regt and joined the adv party on 17 Mar 2019.

(c) A str of one offr, one JCO and OR of the unit participated in cmptr war game at HQ western Comd from 21 Apr to 27 Apr 2019.

(a) Marathon Pine Meerut Half Marathon 2019 was conducted by the unit by GOC Maj Gen M K Das SM. A str of 412 all ranks, Ladies and veterans participated in same. Lt Divyansh Pratap Singh Stood 1st our the Offrs and 5th in the overall marathon.

(b) Establishment of Open Gym and Children Park at RWA Enclave has been completed and all establishment instruments are being used by the residents and RWA Rajesh Enclaves.

(c) Sainik Sammelan held in last week of this month and following pts was briefed:

(i) Reviews of Buddy pair system (ii) Measures to prevent non-Op Cas. (iii) Security and Handling of Iden Card (iv) Bfg on savings, monthly salary and financial growth.

(d) Maj Alok Bisht posted out on 12 Apr 19 and went for LGSC course at School of Arty Devlali.

(e) Young officer (YO) Lt Rushikesh Upasani joined the 78 Fd Regt from 15 Apr 2019.

(f) All Offrs and their family visited Babugarh on 14 Apr 19 for refreshing minds and a one-day picnic before leaving the unit location Babugarh.

MAY-JUNE 2019

585. Ops. (a) The unit alongwith its main body has moved from Meerut to its new loc Pharkian Gali. 586. Trg. (a) Unit has undergone a pre-induction trg at 15 Corps Battle School, Khrew with a total str of 05 offrs, 16 JCOs and 138 OR. Nb Sub Rakesh performing extremely well has recd Gold Medal in Endurance Trg and Obstacle test. Capt Omkar Ruikar was awarded trophy of Best Firer. (b) Courses are as under:- (i) Lt Divyansh Pratap Singh proceeded to attend YO’s course sch at School of Arty, Devlali wef 06 Jun 19 to 10 Dec 19. 587. Adm (a) Maj Gen J B Chowdhary, GOC 28 Inf Div addressed all rks of the regt at 15 Corps Battle School Krew,Srinagar. (b) Brig Jayant Kar, Cdr 28 Arty Bde addressed all rks of the Regt at Drugmulla Convoy Ground on 20 Jun 19. (b) AWWA week celebrations AWWA week celebrations were carried out from 16 to 23 Aug 22 in which the unit participated by conducting a slew of events keeping in mind the core theme “in stride with the future”. The families of the unit displayed their talent in weaving macramé items. (c) AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV (75 Years of Independence) The unit celebrated 76th Independence Day and ensured the theme of HAR GHAR TIRANGA by hoisting flags at residences and various institutes of the unit. The celebration reinvigorated the spirit of duty towards nation and national flag and the day of freedom was celebrated with zeal and joy, (d) Conduct of ACC Examination. Maj Omkar Ruikar took on the task and conducted the event smoothly. (c) Inter Sub-unit Wrestling Championship. The Unit Inter Subunit Wrestling C’ship was conducted wef 01 Sep 22 to 04 Sep 22 in which 781 Med Bty emerged winners, and it was just a miss for 783 med bty. It was a healthy competition under the proper watch and guidance of Adjt.

(d)	LGSC Entrance Exam.   In yet another proud moment for the unit, the hardwork and dedication of Maj Omkar & Capt Mandeep paid off as the offrs cleared the exam & were selected for LGSC exam.

(a) Heli lift Op of 105mm LFG with MI-17. The unit conducted a never-seen-before maiden Heli Lift Ops of LFG of entire Western Comd in conjn witn AF stn Jammu to validate the capb of Arty and AF. The gun was lifted at 0830h on 02 Nov 2022 and was taken for a sortie of pprox. 10 min. Post completion of sortie the gun was safely landed and unhooked. Lt Paarth Gupta displayed extreme professional efficiency in the process and trained the regt with minutest details, the event was once in a blue moment of training and unit was benefited.

(b) Integ Trg with 10 ASSAM. The unit conducted the integ trg ex with his affiliated Bn 10 ASSAM on 02 Nov 22 in which str of one offr, two JCOs & 17 x OR participated. The affiliation with unit was duly revised with practice of integrated drills and procedure on all aspects.

(c) MFC Cadre. An MFC cadre was conducted for a str of 00-04-05 of all units of affiliated 162 Inf Bde at the Tawi rg. It was an opportunity for Unit’s instructors to display their teaching acumen which benefited the reps of Inf Bde.

(d) Inter Subunit Football Competition. Unit conducted inter sub-unit Football competition wef 22 Nov to 25 Nov 22. Romeo bty emerged winners by scoring a last min goal against Papa bty in the thrilling finals.

Inf units participated in the said event with great vigour and enthusiasm. The unit also conducted counter ambush and Interog at the CP3 during the conduct of Inter Bn Ghatak Competition. Special emphasis was laid on adopting to the concurrent changes due to IBGisation, validation of DFs, Op innovations and use of Niche tech for enhancing op efficiency.

(c) Heptr Recce CO & Bty Cdr. CO & Bty Cdr took part in Heptr Recce in the op area familiarisation in which they carried out recce of the regt’s AOR and of affiliated bns.

(e) 26 Inf Div Inter Bn X-Country Championship 2022-23. Lt Manoranjan and his team participated in 26 Inf Div Inter Bn X-Country Championship 22-23 with great spirit and enthusiasm.

The unit after initial trg at the permt loc, mob for the Annual Prac Camp on mil train on 12 Mar 23. During the prac camp, unit had undergone a focused & dedicated trg sch. Moreover, apart from firing, unit had also ensured proper prac of all imp drills and procedures. The tech day was marked with a thunderstorm, affecting the unit prep the night before the assessment as the storm razed the sandmodel, tents at OP flew in all dirns and the GPOs But the spirited Ahirs got back into action and all the prep were ready in literally no time.

The unit’s entry ‘3D Terrain Modelling using QC’ was appre by the jury & has been selected as one of the 10 innovations out of 54 to participate on behalf of HQ 9 Corps at HQ Western Comd Idea Innovation Competition.

(d) Martial Dance. As an initiative to incorporate Martial Dance in its list of rich traditions, a str of 01-02-15 of this unit are practicing ‘Lathi Dance’, and are getting accustomed to swaying ‘Lathi’ or a Stick, which traces its roots back to the customs and traditions of Ahirs. .

(e) Typing Test for Offrs. A typing test for offrs was conducted by the Regt in order to enhance Offrs’ skills in typing with speed and accuracy. All offrs were graded and were well above the benchmark of 25 words per min.

780. Adm. (a) Screening of India-Pak Cricket Match. The much awaited India Pak Cricket match was screened for tps and families which was thoroughly enjoyed by all

(b) Janamashtami Celebrations. The festival was celebrated by the Regt on 06 Sep 2023 with great revelry, for Janamashtmi being the regtl festival for the Ahirs. The belongingness to Lord Krishna was celebrated in consonance with the echoing war cry of Regt “Bol Krishan Bhagwan Ki Jai”

(c) Annual Adm Insp for the Trg Yr 2022-23. Anl Adm Insp for the trg yr 2022-23 has been carried out wef 25-26 Sep 2023. The fwg insp have been carried out on dates mentioned against each:- (i) Book Insp carried out on 25 Sep 23. (ii) SA Firing carried out on 26 Sep 23. (iii) Cdr’s insp carried out on 11 Oct 23.

(d) Wreath Laying Ceremony. A Solemn Wreath Laying ceremony at Tiger War memorial was conducted by the unit on 28 Sep 23 as part of the 197th Gunners day celebration. Brig Gautam Segan, SC, SM, Dy GOC, 26 Inf Div laid a wreath to pay homage to the GUNNERS who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.

(e) Movie for families. A movie namely ‘JAWAN’ was screened for all tps and families at the unit’s Open Air Theater which was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

781. Gen. The unit underwent Anl Prac Camp wef 21 Oct 23 to 07 Nov 23 for the trg Yr 2023-24 wherein the unit burnt midnight oil and left no stone unturned towards its successful completion.

(a) 9 Corps HRC 2023. Col Sharath Nair, CO this unit alongwith one offr attended Op Dscn wef 13-14 Oct 2023 at HQ 29 Inf Div.

(b) Part-D Exam. Capt Sagar Pradan of the unit attended Part-D exam at APS, Jammu wef 15 Oct to 21 Oct 23. One Offr of the unti also performed the duty of Invigilation Offr for the said exam.

(c) Annual Prac Camp. The Annual Prac Camp of the unit was conducted at MFFR wef 21 Oct 23 to 07 Nov 23. During the prac camp, unit had undergone a focused & dedicated trg sch. Moreover, apart from firing, unit had also ensured proper prac of all imp drills and procedures and OJT of Agniveers

(d) Inter Subunit Gun Drill and Comd Post Competition. Inter subunit Gun Drill and Comd Post completion was carried out 29 Oct 2023 at MFFR. 783. Adm. (f) Shastrapuja and Rawan Dahan. Shastrapuja and Rawan Dahan was carried out on the occasion of Dussehra on 24 Oct 2023. Shastrapuja holds immense value in Warrior culture of Ahirs, and is celebrated with same zeal and enthusiasm.

(g) Vis of NCC Cadets Camp. Total 47 x Girls of 2 and 4 J&K NCC Bn and one NCC Offr vis to the unit loc on 18 Oct 2023.

(h) Run for Fun. Families of the unit attended Run for Fun event at 638 SATA Bty on 31 Oct 2023. Run for fun was truly a bonding exercise carried out by unit where families came together and had fun.

(i) Ahirwal Offrs’ Mess Dining in function. Lt Col Pranay Kala, Maj Shriman P, Maj Shouvik Dutta and Maj VS Agilan was dined in at Ahirwal offrs’ Mess on 11 Oct 23.

(a) Route March. Unit carried out 15 km Route March on 27 Nov 23 in which a str of 01-03-36 participated.

(b) Cmptr War Game. CO alongwith three offrs of the unit particated in the Cmptr War Game at HQ Western Comd wef 20-23 Nov 23. CO carried out tasks of RL cdr.

(c) 11 Corps SAT. CO of the unit participated in 11 Corps HR CONF at Jalandhar wef 23-25 attended HR Conf at HQ 11 Corps wef 23-25 Nov 23.

(d) LGSC. Maj Omkar Ruikar upheld the traditions of the unit and got retained as an instr in School of Arty.

(e) DSSC Exam. Maj Shouvik Dutta put up a fabulous show and passed staff college exam with flying colours.

(f) All Arms GIS Course. Capt Paarth Gupta attended All Arms Basic GIS course and was adjudged best student amongst all attendees.
