There is a part of East Oakland California that was, at least in the fifties, referred to as "Green Tanks". In a web document - http://www.airdisaster.com/reports/ntsb/AAR87-09.pdf - dated 27 October 1987, regarding a plane crash, is this statement: "At 0957:33 the Piper reported that it was “over the green tank, turning downwind. ” The “green tank” referred to a large natural gas storage tank that was used as a visual reporting point for OAK north field operations." So while one might not be able to find a "Green Tanks" reference on the web, this document from the NTSB should suffice to authenticate that section of East Oakland. The "Green Tanks" citation for the Hell's Angels group, which preceded the Oakland Hell's Angels is accurate and should be restored to the site. To be sure, the Green tanks group was short lived, but nevertheless it did exist. 7th&market (talk) 20:58, 25 September 2011 (UTC)7th&market
