Hello and welcome to my user page,
I have been working as a trained painter for around twenty years and am often involved in charitable and social activities.
My passion lies in the practical exploration of natural and traditional building materials, such as lime and clay. For me, it's a constant process of trying things out and learning - but even more so a constant process of listening and asking questions. I learned a lot of this on volunteer projects around the world. From 2015 to 2018, I was on the road as a painter, but also worked on the Panama Canal or as a factory worker in Scandinavia, for example. I try to share what I have learned and/or the experiences I have had on Wikipedia and other platforms such as Appropedia.
I see Wikipedia as particularly important because it offers a central opportunity to make knowledge freely accessible for posterity. My commitment has increased because I come across many books that contain valuable craft knowledge but the knowledge they contain is gathering dust unused due to copyright or accessibility issues. I see a further advantage in Wikipedia because digital information can be translated more easily.
