Israeli Arabic Orthography

Due to the interaction between Hebrew and Arabic in Israel, Israeli Arabic (Levantine Arabic in Israel) has adopted three letters to represent Hebrew phonemes not present in Arabic. The letters are used on road signs, packaging and in government communication.
