Early life and education[edit]
He completed primary school education at his native place Kandukur; High school and Intermediate at Devarakonda; Degree - B. Sc. at PG College of Science, Saifabad, Hyderabad in the year 1984 - 87; Post Graduation - M. Sc. ( Chemistry) at University College of Science in year 1987 - 89; He was selected for CSIR fellowship during the year 1989 for pursuing Ph. D.; and completed Ph. D in physical chemistry in the year 1996.

- Elected as Students Union Joint Secretary in P. G. College of Science, Saifabad, Hyderabad. 1985 - 86, under ABVP banner.
- Elected as Students Union General Secretary 1986 - 87.
