Ab Kuijer was born in 1962 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. During high-school he got involved in popular pirate radiostations Decibel and WAPS. In 1985 he succeeded to get the first official Dutch broadcast license for WAPS radio a.k.a. Wave Amsterdam Power Sound. In this period he learned about radio production, managing, sales and designing the WAPS Magazine. After 8 years of producing radio and a magazine, he rolled into the world of advertising that was not at all his world: "Lots of hot air and people that believed they were more important than the message they had to communicate". With his journalistic approach he managed to free-lance as a copy/concept writer and became a partner in Niemeijer Marketing. This agency Niemeijer & Kuijer was located in Rosmalen. After 4 years he started his own agency called Down Under [The Creative Tribe]. Tv personality [de Graaff] became his first client. The agency grew and in 2000 Ab moved back to his roots in Amsterdam. Down Under became JuniorSenior, part of the Creative Tribe BV. Ab Kuijer is also the author of the great little Social Media book 'Think Small, Grow Big', teamleader for Content Business Boost. Since 2007 he lives in the South of France. He is active in Europe as allround interim communication consultant. He is currently writing his second book about Hotel Marketing, called 'Fully Booked with social media' .
