A bit of a scratch pad showing articles we're paying attention to in the MEDRS area. Editors from WEF, namely Sage (Wiki Ed), Adam (Wiki Ed) and Ian (Wiki Ed) are noted where they've worked or commented on the article. Please feel free to add notes or remove articles (if it appears they never had major problems to begin with). Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:54, 16 December 2014 (UTC)

Also please add articles if you feel they need some attention and we'll mark them as done as we've reviewed edits.

Article Initial comments Editors Current problems

Egocentrism Checks made. IR
Zone of proximal development Looks good. Some wooly content, but improved since term start AH Too detailed
Midlife crisis Working on it - lots of problems; fixed IR May need cleanup
Critical period Looks ok. Lot of work only from students for 2 months. Largely improved over term AH May need trimming
Andropause Removed a lot of long quotes and poorly formatted references (article was bad before as well) AH
Self-awareness Close paraphrase at the very least; copied text removed AH May need review
Motivation Lots of tone issues. working now. some resolved AH Needs trimming
Substance abuse prevention Lots of content...looking. Removed a bunch. I don't think it was plagiarized, just kinda bad AH
Eating disorder Edits from DocJames. Heavy citations everywhere, but some content is trivial DocJames, Some problems
Neurotransmitter Looks worse in many places but the older version was quite bad as well. AH Some problems, but lots of community edits
Piaget's theory of cognitive development Looks like an overall improvement Lots of content added but seems largely ok AH
Selective exposure theory Sage has gone over the changes between the beginning of term and now, and found no major issues. Much of the sourcing is to individual studies, which are arguably primary sources. But this topic is non-medical pyschology, and while the sourcing could no doubt be improved considerably, I don't think it's a big problem for this article. (I'm amused by the use of images, which one of the students added in a kind of cheeky way in the last couple of days. Those will probably not survive, but for my part, I like them, so I'm not going to remove them.) Sage No major, but see note
Parenting styles notes from Sage: I removed a bunch more of the students' work, most of which was just bad writing / inadequate summary of sources. I'd say it's in slightly better shape than before the semester now, so I'm calling it okay. AH, Sage
Parallel play Can't get to source material, looks ok ACH May need to be more general
Separation anxiety disorder notes from Sage: after Adam's cleanup (and this has seen a fair amount of attention from other editors throughout the term) I don't see anything too egregious. There's some use of inline linking (to a YouTube video demonstrating Strange situation) that isn't quite kosher, but it's useful, so it amounts to a style issue to figure out how to incorporate it. Sage, AH Look for ELs inline, (many removed)
Gender largely good. CN tags replaced with sources, some poor sources used. not a lot of bulk content
Harry Harlow Students have been working on it intermittently, along with other editors, since September. In the overall diff from then to now, it looks like solid improvement. AH
Howard Gardner Pretty solid work from the students; good sources, decent writing, and good info. I made some minor copyedits. Sage
Compulsive hoarding A bit of plagiarism, a fair amount of inappropriate sources, and some refs with bare urls to Hunter proxies. I remove most of the student content. Sage
Dioscorea alata One student editor added a bit of trivia, properly cited, not medical. No problem here.
Bullying Some okay edits, plus one recent edit that cites a webpage that itself cites the Wikipedia article. I removed that. Sage
Ellenabad Spelling correction
Fuyang_High_School Looks like an accidental edit, long since reverted.
Gloucester,_Massachusetts Added a notable resident
Gross_motor_skill One edit, fleshing out a bit of content already there. No obvious problem.
Gulumaal:_The_Escape constructive minor edit, via GettingStarted
Regina_Pacini constructive minor edit, via GettingStarted
Robert_Sternberg constructive minor edit
Sebastian_Bach constructive edit, likely unrelated to course
