On Being Bold[edit]

  1. Look at this sentence, and then look again in the Edit tab!
  2. For a guide to Wikipedia Markup language, search Wikipedia for WP:Markup.
    1. If you can't remember the markup, there are some tools at the top of your edit window for text formatting. Examples include bold, italic, making links, Special ฿†¢€₥₮৳ Characters, all kinds of lists, and more. So you don't necessarily need to know the markup language to edit successfully!
  3. I had fun building up my user page, but it's important to remember that Wikipedia is not a blog.[1] Make sure your user page content is appropriate.[2] And then have fun in your sandbox!
    1. In Wikipedia, usually people cite their sources using footnotes.
      1. I sort of winged this citation.[3]
      2. For this footnote, I used Wikipedia's "Cite" function in the Edit tab, to guide the creation of my footnote. How does this footnote compare?[4] You might need to look at this under the Edit tab to see all the differences!
