William Mortimer Grubb (30 September 1849 - 2 November 1903) was a Scottish painter.

Life

His father was William Mortimer Grubb [Snr] (16 June 1821 - 4 February 1902), a grocer from Dundee.

His mother was Euphemia Keillor Gloak (16 January 1825 - 8 September 1870) from Dundee.

William Mortimer Grubb was born in Dundee on 30 September 1849.

He married Isabella Smith on 6 July 1875 at St. Mary parish, Dundee.[1]

He became an art master in Dundee High School.

He was appointed art master at Madras College in 1902.[2]

Art

He received a diploma from the Royal College of Art in London in 1899.[3]

Death

He died on 2 November 1903 in the Dundee Royal Infirmary.[4]
