Isobel Turner Maxwell Goudie (25 March 1903 - 8 December 1977) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life[edit]

Her father was Andrew Hill Goudie (27 April 1861 - 13 October 1938), a Stirling surveyor, originally from Paisley.[3]

Her mother was Helen Turner Maxwell (17 February 1870 - 2 October 1934), known as Nellie, from Paisley, a sorting clerk and telegraphist at the Post Office. Andrew and Helen married in Blythswood, Glasgow in 1898.

Isobel Turner Maxwell Goudie was born on 25 March 1903 in Stirling.

She married Basil Lund Yates (18 November 1904 - 27 December 1988) from Liverpool, England. They married on 2 July 1946 in Edinburgh.[4]

She died on 8 December 1977 at 51 Hope Street, Liverpool, England. Her estate was valued at £2008.
