James Hermiston Haig (29 January 1858 - 6 March 1920) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life[edit]

His father was Hector Haig (17 January 1836 - 15 May 1899), a cashier from Wedderburn, Duns, Berwickshire.

His mother was Agnes Hermiston (15 February 1834 - 17 September 1896) from Chirnside.[3] Hector and Agnes married on 28 November 1856 at Chirnside.

James Hermiston Haig was born on 29 January 1858 in Chirnside, Scottish Borders.

Death[edit]

He died on 6 March 1920 at Chirnside in the Scottish Borders. The value of his estate was worth £175, 19 shillings and 10 pence.
