Catherine Highet (12 January 1854 - 21 January 1948) was a Scottish painter.^[1]^[2]

Life

Her father was John Highet (1811 - 1866), a lithographer and stationer from Troon, Ayrshire.

Her mother was Agnes Hargen (1825 - 1885) from Ayr. John and Agnes married on 1 July 1850 in Dundonald, Ayrshire.

Catherine Highet was born on 12 January 1854 in Troon, Ayrshire.

She married the artist James Hamilton (1844 - 1894) from Kilsyth, in Troon in 1889.

She died on 31 January 1948 in Troon, Ayrshire.
