James Garden Laing (20 October 1850 - 22 August 1915) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was Alexander Laing (born c. 1808), a harness maker.

His mother was Frederica Adam (born c. 1808).

James Garden Laing was born on 20 October 1850 in Old Machar in Aberdeen.

He married the artist Annie Rose Low in 1898 in Glasgow.
