John Lamb (16 January 1840 - 28 December 1920) was a Scottish painter.[1][2]

Life

His father was David Lamb (born 1811), a cabinet maker from Gilmerton, Edinburgh.

His mother was Helen Ferguson (born c. 1818) from Edinburgh. David and Helen married on 13 June 1834 in Edinburgh.

John Lamb was born on 16 January 1840 in St. Cuthbert's parish, Edinburgh.

He married Rachel Henderson Milroy (born 9 October 1853) from Edinburgh. They married on 11 July 1871 in Edinburgh.
