Salman Aghayev was born in 1910. In the 1930s he graduated from two universities in Moscow with a degree in mathematics. In the 1940s and 1920s, upon his return to Azerbaijan, he was appointed school principal and taught mathematics and Russian at the same time. He was a scientist who bred several generations of mathematicians. In 1953 he sent a letter to Stalin, where he expressed his dissatisfaction with the current level of education in the Azerbaijani Soviet Union. He proposed his solutions to improve the educational situation for new generations. The Kremlin invited Salman Aghayev to meet with Stalin. But the day before the meeting, Stalin passed away. Salman Aghayev was devoted to his cause until the end of his life. He died of a serious illness.
