Omalaala village[edit]

Omalaala is a village in Ondangwa consiuatituency, Oshana Region, northern Namibia. [1] “Omalaala is approximately 15 kilometres away from Ondangwa, a northern town in Oshana region”. Omalaala is in the Ondonga Traditional Authority. There are four schools, namely Omalaala Primary School, Mvula junior secondary school, Olulongo combined school and magano prr-primary school. The councilor of Omalaala is Isimael Uugwanga , a former teacher at Olulongo combined school. Clean water is available which has been provided by the The Directorate of Rural Water Supply; water-points have been setup throughout the village.[2] The inhabitants are small-scale subsistence farmers who keep livestock, such as cattle, goats, sheep, donkeys, and grow crops, such as maize and sorghum, for their own consumption. . The people living in my village are simple and straight. They celebrate their rites like wedding ceremonies, fairs and other occasions in simple ways.
