Cite date formatting[edit]

Following are the rendered results when using the template {{Use dmy dates}} or {{Use mdy dates}} (as specified by the first column) with the |cs1-dates= values shown in the second column and the three date values shown in the headings of the last three columns.

Note the cs1-dates values shown in red are not valid, but produce the indicated results without error (sl acts like s; yl and ys act like y).
