Jordan Oland Wadley(born April 20, 2000), better known by his stage name J. Smoove, is a rapper/hip-hop artist from Vallejo, California. He is best known for his hit 2017 debut album “aBySs oF tHe miNd” which was released in April of 2017. This album went triple platinum within four months of its release. He is currently 17-years-old and still residing in Vallejo. He is sponsored by Smoove Productions©.

Early Life[edit]

Wadley was born in the Sutter Solano Medical Center to single mother Diana Wadley. His mother was not able to support him so he spent most of his childhood in foster care. By the age of 15, he spent most of his time hustling to make money while living on the streets and sleeping in homeless shelters. He produced music when he could and was a well known local artist. He was discovered in the local night club Gentleman Jim’s by directors at Smoove Productions© who attended the open mic night held weekly at the club.

Career[edit]

Wadley started his career with friends on the streets of vallejo. At 15 Wadley began taking a serious interest in his musical career: Writing songs, playing at small clubs, and making mix tapes. His career took off in early 2016 when he was playing in a local nightclub and was noticed by Smoove productions. He soon signed with them releasing his debut album in April of 2017; the album went triple platinum within four months of its release. He is now known as J. Smoove who is now 17 years old and is currently working on releasing his second album which is expected to drop in September of 2018.

Artistry[edit]

J. Smoove has several artist influencing his rapping style, including J Cole, Playboi Carti, and Daboii. Jordan is known for his lyrics and music being described as “Smoove”, “Relatable”, “Effortless” and having “Catchy words and phrases”. Wadley’s fashion style shows his own image, being one of his main features of his public image. He is known as a walking trend center, influencing all the youth of this generation.
