Chi Psi Fraternity: Alpha Theta Delta[edit]
Alpha Theta Delta is an alpha of Chi Psi Fraternity located at the University of Washington. This "Alpha" was founded in 1921 and originally housed on 17th. In 1922 the Fraternity moved onto its current location of 4600 22nd Avenue into a custom built house, known nationally at all alphas as "the Lodge".
History[edit]
Alpha Theta Delta was founded in 1921 by the national fraternity. While construction of the Lodge was being completed the original 12 members lived on 17th Avenue learning how to run their Alpha correctly. At the finish of construction the members moved into their lodge and began the process of recruiting a entire new pledge class.
Theta Delta Values[edit]
Alpha Theta Delta is based on the Fraternal Values that all members follow nationally. The fraternity strives to uphold the ideal of being, and becoming, a better "Gentleman". Theta Delta members believe, like every other alpha, that integrity, dignity and maturity are the cornerstones of the Fraternity as a whole. This Alpha takes these ideals to every part of the fraternity. Scholastic achievement, Social Excellence, and Sound Recruitment Practices are all areas where Alpha Theta Delta try and show integrity, dignity and maturity.
