Antonella Ponce

Antonella Maria Ponce Cabrera (born August 4th 1997), is an Ecuadorian musician, singer, songwriter and actress. Very early in life she showed her love for music, at 2 years old she was already singing in family choirs with a voice incredibly in tune. She studied at Arte'n 3[1], in Ecuador, which is and academy of artistic studies , where she was chosen to be one of the main artists of the cast. The musician Ricardo Wiliams[2] was looking for a female child voice to sing with him in his songs, he chose Antonella to be the female voice in many of the star songs of his cd’s. She also performed singing with him in concerts he held for the release of his book “Canción de Cuna para despertar a Papá”[3]</ref>, in which Antonella was the main voice of a cd [4] </ref>included in the book also singing in the Concert at Plaza de las Americas in Quito[5]</ref> for the release of the book. Also she started singing, dancing and acting in all the shows from Arte'n 3 the time she was a student there, with renowned national and international artists such as Riccardo Perotti[6]</ref>, Gabriela Villalba[7]</ref> (ex Kudai[8]</ref>), Ricardo Williams among others, from 2004 until 2007. Her TV debut was in 2005, at one of the most important TV channels in the country 'TELEAMAZONAS'[9], which held the exclusive franchise from Walt Disney Company for Club Disney - Ecuador for 5 years. Working for almost 4 years as an actress and anchor for the Club Disney[10]</ref>[11]</ref> show she developed her passion for acting, showing always discipline, and talent. For this reason she was always considered as the main presenter and actress for the show. In 2007 her musical preparation changed to another direction. She was given a test by the director of the IMC, from the Berklee International Network, of the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, in this test he discovered Antonella has Perfect Pitch, which gives her a very high quality musical ear. This time, she started to study at the IMC from the Universidad San Francisco de Quito[12]</ref>, at very early age of ten years, being on of the youngest students at the university. She has performed among university students, impressing the audience for her quality and distinctive confidence. With this studies she developed a new sense for music, and she was able to write her own music and lyrics. She has participated for various times at the Intercollegiate Musical Festival from the Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito[13]</ref>[14]</ref>, where for three times she was the only musician, singing her own songs. She plays the piano and the flute, and was a member of the Colegio Menor School band. She also taught herself to play the guitar. She has written a variety of songs, with an innovative approach to music, her abilities are not limited to perform and create only certain genres or styles, her impressive range allows her to perform Jazz, Pop, Rock.
