This is s personal examination of a way in which I suspect Wikipedia is changing. It's probably not good for others to edit it in my user space; Please consider instead using its talk page, my main talk page, or creating your own copy with a link here to preserve the edit trail required by Wikipedia's copyleft policy. Purpose of this page[edit]

This page looks at a specific, suspected trend in Wikipedian culture: the tendency to increasingly quote authority rather than consensus in making decisions. I call this the argument from accuracy for reasons that may become clear below.

It and its talk page are something of a scratch pad, and a work in progress. Like all Wikipedia pages.
