Bruce Herbert Mahan (August 17, 1930 - October 12, 1982) was an American chemist. He is best known for his work on chemical kinetics and is considered a pioneer in the research of ion recombination. Mahan is also renowned for writing several textbooks, in particular University Chemistry, which is viewed as the model for many modern-day textbooks.
