Summary

Joy Smith was born August 10 2004. The thirteen year old sensation does not only play on a high school basketball since the age 11, but also a very amazing actor, singer, and dancer. She always been at a lot of things but her character/personality just makes it 10x better

Early Life

Joy Smith was born in Kansas City, Missouri, August 10, 2004. She first grew up and went to preschool/kindergarten at an African school, Ace Academy. She was very smart that she skipped a grade at 4 years old and went straight to Kindergarten. For first grade she moved to a small town, Lee's Summitt, and went to Chapel Lakes Elementary. There she made wonderful relationships with teachers and her peers. She joined a lot of clubs including Girls on The Run, Singers, Girl's Athletics, etc, plus outside of school softball, basketball, football, and dance. As you can see she was a very busy, active girl growing up just like she is today.

Middle Life

For her sixth grade year, Joy went to Delta Woods Middle School and also joined a lot of clubs. She also discovered her love for volleyball when she joined volleyball club and others like...Beauty Club, Basketball Club, FCA, and so much more. Joy was also no stranger to musical theatre when she joined the school musical, Seussical, and played the Grinch in Whoville. She was also in Show Choir, where they won many competitions. Sadly after sixth grade Joy moved to Katy, Texas to play on a high school team named the Texas Infernos. She played all summer with the legendary Coach Willie Stephens. He was one of the best coaches, father, man of God you'll ever meet. He trained her so well that she was ranked in the top 30's in the nation for class of 2022; but, no scout could talk to her because of her young age. When the school year started she made A Team Volleyball, made second place in district, she made A team basketball and carried her team to championships. But they lost a close game. After basketball season she did track & field and soccer. The next year, she moved to another school in the same district, Seven Lakes Junior High. She didn't tryout for volleyball because she is focusing and pursuing her acting/singing career. She played Fairy Godmother in the musical, Cinderella, and had three successful shows. After that the basketball season started so Joy had no time to waste. Joy finished off in an undefeated season and won championships with her team. The last sport she did that year was track & field, then onto more performing arts. At this time she is in the play Dark of the Moon for Sr. Company and is dancing for a competitive dance team, The Lady Rascals. She definitely has her hands tied between sports, performing, education and keeping up with her amazing sense of style.

Family

Joy is not the only talented one in the Smith/Watson/Chase Family. On her mom's side she has 1 older sister, 1 older brother, and 1 younger sister. She's always been the baby to the two older Her older sister is an entrepreneur that makes wigs, but did you know she also use to do nails? Her older brother is currently in a 2017/2018 linebacker for Colorado State University, top 10 in the nation, and expected to go to the draft this year (2018). Her younger sister is also a football player, who follows in their big brother's foot steps. Her mother's name is Mona Smith. She owns her company that helps children and families in need. Then is her Grandmother, who is a retired flower shop owner, but is a property owner. Joy's dad's side of the family still stays in touch even after the big move to Texas.

Joy's traditions of her family include watching football all weekend, traveling to Denver, Colorado 3-4 times a year, going to see the mountains as well, and almost federal holiday to travel back home to Kansas City to see family she doesn't live with like her talented uncles. Some of her uncles are also in the filming/music/acting business, so I guess it just runs in the family.
