The Maslenica massacre was massacre of Serb imprisoned soldiers and fleeing civilians which happened in January 1993 during the Croatian Army offensive known as Operation Maslenica in the Croatian War of Independence.

Massacre of soldiers and medicians on Velebit[edit]

At the end of 2006 the Council for War Crimes in Serbia opened criminal case against unknown individual perpetrators.[1]

Reactions[edit]

On 25 January the UN Security council issued Resolution 802 which expressed its deep concerns because Croatian army attacked the territory under the UN protection (UNPROFOR) and caused deterioration of the situation. With this resolution UN Security council strongly condemned this attacks which result was killing of civilians and UNPROFOR personell.[2]
