The transliteration is the old Wade-Giles because these books are rather dated - and chi doesn't get used much in newer texts (and that Google Books probably won't have them). Oh and before you start saying it doesn't get used much so it's more talked about in Japanese, neither does Japan use shaku much in a modern context, it's just that Japanese didn't undergo a Romanisation reform during the last century. But either way searching for terms this way is stupid - they are all derived from books on the topic of Japan/China and so the author would expect a certain level of knowledge, a certain level of tolerance of foreign words, that's not available in pure English works. --antilivedT | C | G 01:25, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
