Hello and welcome to my Userpage..!!

Introduction

[edit]

I was born in Mount-Abu, Rajasthan, but was raised in Delhi. I am a Cultural-Enthusiast, who loves to talk about History & Civilizations, Languages & Dialects, Cultures & Traditions, Religions & Faiths, Anthropology & Sociology, Races & Tribes, and everything that comes with it. :) Both of my parents are Garhwali, and they were born and raised in Garhwal, Uttarakhand.

As a child I always witnessed Garhwali-Culture in my house, but couldn't learn Garhwali, as it was hardly spoken. But when I grew up, I realized that I needed to learn the language, as it is an integral part of my culture. There was another reason, that I was learning other languages, which made me curious about the one spoken by my family sometimes. So I eventually learned Garhwali, and can now proudly claim to be fluent in it.

I did my B-Tech from Himachal-Pradesh, and was introduced to Himachal-Pradesh's Languages and culture there, which in turn was very similar to Garhwali-Culture (vocabulary is surprisingly common).

I have been contributing to Wikipedia-Pages, since I was in School/College, but it is only now that I made an account. I am really exited for this. :)
