The condenser-chamber method is a system used for the rapid measurement of TEWL, which has two main components [1]. The system is compared to other instruments, including the unventilated chamber and the open chamber, for its applicability to assess TEWL [2]. The cylindrical measurement chamber used in the condenser-chamber system is similar to that used in the diffusion gradient measurement principle [3]. Several studies have evaluated the performance of different methods for measuring water exchange and loss through human skin, including the use of skin evaporimeters and the effects of low humidity on the skin [4][5][6].
