WRS(Wagon repair shop) commonly known as Railway colony of Raipur, is in the south-west Raipur, in the central Indian state Chhattisgarh. Since this area was primarily meant for the repair of wagons or locomotive coaches, it was named after wagon repair shop and has been called the same since then, before the bifurcation of Madhya Pradesh, but later this small portion of area was further extended for residential purpose to ease the livelihood of Railway employees working here. The resident's abode here call their homes as quarters; each quarter, as its name suggests, has four different blocks where each could either be of two BHK or three BHK or four BHK. The five BHK recently built is known as bungalows. Here, the people from different ethnic backgrounds celebrate Durga Puja(Durga pujo) and Kali Puja(kali pujo) with great brio and eclat. The WRS rose to prominence and been widely known due to the celebration of Vijayadashami-a major Hindu festival celebrated at the end of Navaratri every year, when once Ravan's effigy towered to a height of above 100ft and had the record since then in central India. It is enfolded by green trees and rice paddies. There are many viharas and colony in WRS- Adarsh Vihar, Mahanadi Rail Vihar and Shivnath Rail Vihar and a diesel colony. The total area spans nearly of about 3km^2.

Various auto-rickshaws and OLA are available to move around WRS to anywhere in Raipur.

TUK TUK

Tuk Tuk's are extensively used by the people for commuting to and from several parts of Raipur.

WRS is served by WRS railway station which comes under SECR zone is situated right behind the Gandhi garden. .
