I like the series of Avatar and have compiled a list of bendings that appear throughout the TV show.

Avatar Bending

Waterbending截水神功

Waterbending is manipulating water, making for a agile element.

Icebending/Snowbending

Icebending or snowbending is manipulating frozen water. The water is usually frozen by blowing on it and/or compressing it.

Plantbending

Plantbending is manipulating the water in plants. The plant has to be pretty flexible, or else it is hard to move.

Bloodbending

Bloodbending is manipulating the water in the blood of an animal, forcing it to move against it's will.

Mist/Fogbending

Mist/Fogbending is manipulating the water in the air by grouping the water particles in the atmosphere.

Healing

Waterbending can be used for healing, by redirecting the chi paths throughout the body.

Airbending風脅功師

Airbending is manipulating the air molecules in the atmosphere, making for an almost invisible and quick element.

Earthbending運土術

Earthbending is manipulating rocks and dirt, making for a strong element.

Metalbending

Metalbending is manipulating metal, which is just a purified version of earth, making for a stronger earthbending.

Sandbending

Sandbending is manipulating sand, making for a quicker, but weaker, earthbending, although it can be used to crush or bury someone.

Firebending制火朮

Firebending is manipulating fire and sometimes heat, making for a destructive element.

Lightningbending

Lightningbending is manipulating and conducting lightning by firebending, making for a destructive, but dangerous, element.

Magma/lavabending

Magma/Lavabending is manipulating superheated and melted rock and earth. Only avatars, with both firebending and earthbending, can do this and they have been the only ones in the show to do so, but technically an earthbender should be able to move rock if it is already melted.
