Arupananda Rao is a Wikipedian. He has also been a member of Your Shot community of National Geographic Society since 2013, and other works include various iNaturalist projects. Currently he’s been preparing for UPSC CSE.

Personal Life[edit]
Arup's native place is Sambalpur, Odisha, India. He is currently residing in Patnagarh, Balangir, India. He can communicate in Odia, Hindi, English & Japanese. He can also mimic various creatures' voices.
Educational Qualification[edit]
Arup has earned 3rd scholarship and 5th scholarship. He had also qualified in the Navodaya Exam. Arup completed his matriculation from Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Patnagarh, India. He completed his intermediate from Jawaharlal College, Patnagarh, India. Arup got his B.Tech degree from BPUT in the Electronics & Communication Engineering stream.
Personal Interests[edit]
Photography[edit]
Arup is passionate about Photography. However his areas of expertize include motion pictures and wildlife photography. He has been a member of Your Shot community of National Geographic Society since 2013, and also participated in Pixboomba photo contest organized by National Geographic Photographer Cary Wolinsky.
Numismatics[edit]
Arup has a liking for collecting coins. He has collected currencies from 180 countries so far. He is also interested in collecting old Indian coins.
Painting[edit]
Arup has been fond of painting since his childhood days. He prefers drawing cartoons to other forms of art though.
Exploring Nature[edit]
Arup loves to wander random places in his leisure, especially mountains, forests etc., it helps him understand himself as well as nature. He loves to study the biodiversity around him, and loves to play with wild creatures. He is very fond of cobras, he thinks they are the most elegant creatures in the whole planet.
Achievements[edit]
Arup has set the record for the maximum number of superheroes action figures in the India Book of Records. On the event held on 9th of January, 2021, the number recorded was 331, making him the top title holder in the category.
