While Box Office India stated that the film netted 29.25 crore (US$3.5 million), trade analyst Taran Adarsh and the producers, UTV, claimed it reached a 13-percent higher figure, about 33.12 crore (US$4.0 million), during its opening day thus making it the highest opening day of all time.[11] There was debate over the various sources but several news organizations like ABP News, The Times of India and The Business Standard verified the claim of the producers.[12][13]
