Livio & Roby are a Bucharest based techno duo consisting of Romanian DJs and music producers Silviu Sandu and Robert Precup.[1] Their music repertoire is best defined as deep, rolling underground as well as independent from any existing genres of contemporary sounds, traversing Techno.

Livio & Roby formed in 2005, and released their debut album, Speranta [2] on Steve Lawler's[3] VIVa MUSiC in 2008. They achieved global status after their side-project, Monochrome went on to win both global prizes at the Heineken Music Thirst Studio Global Session competition[4][5][6] . Since then they have released music on labels such as DesolatCite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page). and Fumakilla.[7]

Premiesku

[edit]

As well as DJing and producing as Livio & Roby, they have also launched the live act, Premiesku, alongside fellow Romanian George G.[8][9]. Their live set up consists of a combination of sequencers, analog synths, drum machines and Akai samplers which they have customized by rewiring. All of the machines are all synced up through a midi clock.[10]. Since forming, Premiesku have toured their live act at notable events including Time Warp Festival, East Ender, Richie Hawtin's ENTER., Flying Circus, Used+Abused, and Sven Väth's Cocoon [11]. They released their debut album as Premiesku in 2012 on Loco Dice's imprint, Desolat.[12].
